Summer Cruise - Day 2 - Port Madison to Watmough Bay - June 3, 2022

I woke up at 5 am, and started getting ready to leave. By 5:30 am we were out of Port Madison, and heading north in a thunderstorm. Lightning all around. Close, scary, well maybe. Wind blowing out of the south. Rolled jib our and sailed north. The current flushed us right out of Puget Sound. Sailed around 30 miles before the wind got light. We then motored into Watmough Bay, were met my brother and sister-in-law there in their sailboat. As soon as we got here it started raining hard. Eventually in the evening the rain stopped. We had brother and sister-in-law over for sundowners. Topped off the tanks with diesel from the jerry cans on deck. Ready to move a little further north tomorrow.
